IPC POPULATION DATA

The IPC is a set of protocols to classify the severity of food insecurity and provide information for decision support. The IPC process involves collection and analysis of wide-ranging evidence on food insecure people in order to provide information on the following :
  • - Food insecure areas
  • - Severity of the situation
  • - People who are food insecure in terms of their social economic characteristics
  • - Reason for food insecuritys
The IPC population module mainly provides information on the following:
  • - Number of people in each phase at county or state level
  • - Percentage of total population in each phased at county level

To access population data, ensure you can access the dashboard :

Dashboard link (only visible when signed in)

1. From the dashboard, click IPC - > IPC Population Data on the left side bar menu .

2. Select Population Data tab

3. From the selection criteria section (the top part) select the following :

  • - Geographic level state/county
  • - Data format (number/percentage)
  • - Type of data to be generated
  • - IPC Phases
  • - Period

4. Click Get Data button
